How We Got Here

Our Story

Julia first met Jake in May 2025 when she decided to expand her cleaning business. At the time, Jake owned a recruiting company and helped hire several team members. As their professional relationship grew, Jake naturally became involved in many areas of the business, and together they launched SD Sparkle in August 2025. His business insight and leadership helped accelerate the company's growth. By January 2026, it had become clear that their relationship was much more than a successful business partnership—they had become best friends. Before long, they were inseparable, working side by side to build a company devoted to serving both clients and employees with excellence while honoring the Lord in everything they do.

Today, they share a vision that extends far beyond business. Their greatest dream is to continue creating opportunities to love, serve, and impact others more deeply through their company, their home, and the life they are building together.

Who first admitted the love?

Jake did! He shared his love for Julia's heart 4½ months before she could admit the same.

Who do the employees love better?

Jake.

Who introduced Julia and Jake?

Jake's dad, Darren. Do you think it was a set up? ;)

Favorite activity together?

Travelling!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

It's a SURPRISE! Jake is going to whisk Julia away to a surprise destination.

There's no charge for your stay — lodging is on us for the weekend. Meals are generally on your own outside of the wedding day dinner, so plan to bring or pick up groceries.

★ The Wedding Venue

Ensenada Escape

Two houses on one property · the wedding venue

The home with the best view — and, reportedly, where Hollywood comes when it wants complete privacy. Ensenada Escape is actually two houses on the same property, so there's room for the wedding party and close family to stay right where the celebration happens. The main house has three bedrooms (one king, three queens) and two baths, with a big open living/dining/kitchen and a ping-pong table on the patio.

This is where the wedding happens, so it's the heart of the whole weekend.

  • Two houses, one property
  • Multiple bedrooms & baths
  • Full kitchen & BBQ
  • Brand-new loft
  • Ping-pong patio
  • Best views on site
Big Groups

Adventure Center

Home for 16 · + private campsite for up to 40

Available for one night only — Sunday, September 20 (the wedding night).

Truly have it all: a breathtaking home built for sixteen, plus an optional private campsite for up to forty more. Stay indoors or camp under the stars — everyone's happy.

Wake up to rabbits, quail and roadrunners on the patio and dolphins splashing offshore. Up top, a huge rooftop deck is made for tanning, yoga and sunsets — and becomes a moonlight deck after dark.

  • Sleeps 16 indoors
  • Campsite for 40+
  • Rooftop / moonlight deck
  • Wildlife & ocean views

Minutes from hiking trails, tidal pools, the secluded beach at Crocodile Cove, the marine geyser and local market. The Guadalupe Wine Valley is about an hour away; downtown Ensenada about 45 minutes. 100% solar-powered and self-contained (with a backup propane generator for cloudy days).
